Fall Flasher

Tara saw the man she’d been fantasizing over for the last few weeks moving toward her. The hunk of a male, with tight jeans hugging his muscular thighs and a black leather jacket stretched across wide shoulders, looked oh so good to her.
Within seconds, they faced each other at the bus stop. She glanced up into a set of midnight eyes that held the look of mystery. Tara found something bold in his look. Her green gaze studied the rugged face, with the overlong black hair touching the collar of his jacket and the wide shoulders. His full mouth drew her gaze like a magnet. Silly thoughts raced through her head wondering how it would feel to have that mouth possess her lips. A yearning filled her and she hoped she didn’t reveal the emotion in her eyes.
“Will you do something for me?” His deep, sexy voice vibrated through her numbed thoughts.
“I will if I can.” The words barely left her dry lips as a wave of desire for this stranger raced through her.
“Someone’s watching me from across the street and I need to show her I’m not available.”
She pushed a lock of auburn hair behind her ear, confusion filling her. The sensation didn’t last long as his mouth lowered to hers in a sensuous kiss that set her head swirling. The kiss was all she’d dreamed of seconds before. A pulsating excitement ran through her that she had no control over. When he eventually lifted his mouth, Tara’s face showed the way he’d affected her.
“Let’s have coffee and talk,” he murmured huskily.
Tara walked with the stranger into the nearest café. When they found an empty booth, she could only stare in wonder at her companion. Suddenly, the phrase love at first sight ran through her head.
After ordering, he reached across and placed his hand over Tara’s. “I’m Mack and I have a confession to make. No one was watching us today. I had to find a way to meet you and desperation leads to desperate measures.”
“I’ve been feeling the same way about meeting you.” The man excited her no end.
“Since seeing you a few weeks ago, I’ve thought of you day and night. Now, that I have your attention, I’m going to try to make you feel as I do.”
A tremor ran through her listening to his words. “You definitely have my full attention,” she murmured, loving the way softness filled his gaze as he watched her. “Do you believe in love at first sight?”
“We’re going to find out,” he said in a caressing tone.
“I’m looking forward to it,” she answered in barely a whisper.

Aww...that was beautiful!
Thanks so much, Laura. I'm a sucker for a happy ending. LOL
Awwww....so romantic. I love this. Love at first sight. So wonderful to think that might exist. Beautiful job, Mary. Truly beautiful.
I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. Sometimes I think just a look or a word can set off a chain reaction between two people to discover their true feelings for each other.
I guess I'm a romantic at heart believing love at first sight is possible.
Interesting take on a first interaction and a beautilful set-up.
Lindseye,
Thanks for your comment. In some of my books, I've used eye contact as a beginning between my characters. I believe you can say so much without saying a word by just a look.
This is such a great romance scene. Thanks so much for sharing it Mary Suzanne!
